What we asked him to do was clean the grout in a small shower room. We have hard water from a well, so that's no easy task because the minerals discolor the grout & tile.  What he actually did was so far beyond merely grout-cleaning, we were speechless when we saw his finished work:  he re-grouted the entire shower, completely cleaned all the tile, sealed every corner, and even restored the glass block window to full clarity (scarred by 15 years of well water) which the other bidders on our job said would be impossible to do.

If I could have rated James as A+++ in all categories, I would have. I truly can't convey what a remarkable job he did. When it was complete, my husband and I just stood & stared because every inch of it literally sparkled. In fact, the entire room looked newly-installed -- brand-new rather than just cleaned.  In fact, nearly 3 months later, his work STILL looks spectacular and we still remark upon it. James was a consummate professional and a delight to have in the house. He was conscientious, meticulous and took great pride in his work --which was evident throughout. One particular point stands out: he estimated the time the job would require in advance of our appointment, but did so much extra detail work that he wasn't finished at that stated time. He apologized at length for taking longer than estimated, and offered to clean up and return the following morning to finish the job. Of course we asked him to just stick with it.  In the end, he stayed nearly 3 hours later than planned, performed MUCH more work than we thought he would do, and refused to charge us more than his original estimate!! I can't say enough positive about Northwest Grout Works:  James is an artisan and craftsman. I recommend him wholeheartedly and without reservation.
